As 2022 draws to a close, a range of strategic and future-focused documents have recently been shared by the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment that aim to drive Aotearoa New Zealand's research ecosystem into 2023 and beyond.
Since November 2019, NeSI and Genomics Aotearoa have been partnering on training, enabling a growing number of researchers in bioinformatics and genomics across the country to build their capabilities and tackle the science they aspire to do.This year, the NeSI and Genomics Aotearoa Training teams reached 327 researchers through 17 different training events. This brings the programme's overall year-to-date tally to 1,142 trainees - a milestone to celebrate!

NeSI is looking for an experienced DevOps and Integration Programmer to join our team. From 17-20 October, members of the NeSI team attended the 2022 eResearch Australasia Conference, bringing perspectives and use cases from Aotearoa New Zealand projects and collaborations to the event's conversations and exchange of ideas.It also provided a valuable opportunity to learn from our Australian counterparts' experiences and approaches across a range of topics, allowing us to bring back insights around:user-centred design, product management, and ways of working
