Australasian Leadership Computing Symposium 2019

The 2019 Australasian Leadership Computing Symposium (ALCS), co-chaired by NeSI, Pawsey Supercomputing Centre, and NCI Australia, will be a unique event for the Australasian computational science community.

Taking place from 6-8 November at the Australian Academy of Science - Shine Dome - and The Australian National University in Canberra, ALCS 2019 will be Australasia’s research supercomputing users’ forum, as well as a flagship promotion of high-performance computing (HPC) and high-performance data (HPD) in Australasia.

ALCS 2019 aims to bring together scientists from five key computational science disciplines in Australasia. ALCS aims to share knowledge about HPC and HPD in practice within and across these powerful research communities:

  • astronomy,
  • genomics,
  • geosciences,
  • climate and weather, and
  • materials science.

ALCS 2019 will provide an opportunity for researchers to extend their networks, share leading practice, learn from their peers and build their understanding of the role of HPC and HPD in their current and future work.
