Event Report: Open Research
On 1 July 2025, the roles, services and technologies of New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) were integrated into the crown-owned company, Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand (REANNZ). Stay connected with us by visiting the REANNZ website.
Open Research was a series of events that about accelerating discovery by increasing openness in the research sector. Events spanned 6-8 February 2013 comprising a conference and discussion sessions.
Each of the talks from Accelerating Discovery were recorded. Video processing is underway and should be available in time for the next NeSI newsletter. A declaration created on the event's third day is also nearing publication.
The event has also spurred the creation a community of researchers from Australia and New Zealand. The website for that activity is sites.google.com/site/nzauopenresearch.
