Webinar: Sharing Data with Groups Using Globus

On 1 July 2025, the roles, services and technologies of New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) were integrated into the crown-owned company, Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand (REANNZ). Stay connected with us by visiting the REANNZ website.

This webinar has now passed. Click here to view a recording.

In this online workshop, we'll share a few quick tips on how to share your research data with groups of colleagues or collaborators using Globus, one of the tools within NeSI's national Data Transfer Platform

Session description:
In this 30-minute webinar, NeSI’s Brian Flaherty will discuss how you can use NeSI's national Data Transfer Platform, delivered in partnership with Globus and via NZ's national advanced network provider, REANNZ, to easily collaborate with researchers anywhere around the globe.

Specifically, we will look at how to use Globus — a secure, reliable research data management tool — to:

  1. Share your research data with individuals

  2. Create a group to share data with the group’s members

  3. Create personal endpoints for downloading data to your laptop

If you are interested in attending, we recommend that you be familiar with the content covered in our 'NeSI Data Platform Q&A' webinar, delivered earlier this year. It is the prequel to this webinar and can be viewed anytime on NeSI's YouTube channel
