Upcoming AU/NZ Carpentries Community Call in September

On Thursday 14 September 2023 from 2:00PM NZT (See in your timezone)NeSI and ARDC will be co-hosting an Australia-New Zealand Carpentries community discussion.

This month's talk is a Welcome Session where we will have two guest speakers speaking to us about the changes in onboarding and instructor checkout process.

Welcome Sessions are a recent addition, offering tailored Community Discussions exclusively crafted for newcomers in our community. These sessions are designed to help onboard new members to The Carpentries, with an opportunity for new instructors to network with others in the community. Read more about Welcome Sessions here

The Carpentries comprises Software CarpentryData Carpentry, and Library Carpentry communities who share a mission to teach foundational computational and data management skills to researchers. The upcoming call will be a wonderful opportunity to reassess the onboarding process within the Carpentries community and to meet other members from across the Tasman.

While these sessions are designed for new community members and instructors, we welcome participation from the wider community!
As always, we welcome any comments and questions at these community calls. If you are a Carpentries Instructor/Helper/Learner/Community Member and want to run your own Carpentries Workshops, or just want to know more about The Carpentries, you are encouraged to join us on the call.
