Representatives from both institutions will explain why these complementary organisations exist and what tools and services they can provide to researchers across New Zealand. This may be enabling you to share massive amounts of data, providing you access to the country’s most powerful high performance computers, or giving you and your team specialist technical advice. Specifically, webinar attendees can expect to learn:

  • What, as a researcher, you need to know about NeSI and REANNZ
  • How you can use NeSI/ REANNZ to boost your research, and
  • How others in the community have tapped into the infrastructure REANNZ and NeSI provide. NIWA researcher Jonny Williams will be sharing how he uses NeSI and REANNZ to push the boundaries of earth systems modelling in New Zealand.

You can expect to leave the webinar with a better understanding of what REANNZ and NeSI are and how to get in touch if you feel they can help you achieve better research outcomes.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this webinar. postgraduates, established researchers, support staff and anyone in between are encouraged to attend.
