NeSI Application Support Specialist

NeSI is looking for a genomics researcher or bioinformatician with experience using high performance computing to join the support team. This is to take a lead role working to grow the services and support for genomic and bioinformatician usage of the NeSI platforms. As well as working to build out the relevant scientific software catalogue for researchers the candidate will work with and in the research community including Universities, CRI’s, research groups such as Genomics Aotearoa and biotech firms.

We will be looking for candidates who can balance managing queries coming in through the support desk as well as being more externally focussed, meeting with researchers and attending conferences to build the network to the genomics and wider biological sciences community.
